Engineering File Terms

Effective version
1.0

Access, use, confidentiality and controlled-release terms for EmbodyStack engineering drawings, CAD, STEP and technical files.

“EmbodyStack,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the EmbodyStack brand and, for a transaction, the contracting entity identified in the applicable quotation, order acknowledgement, invoice or signed agreement.

1. Controlled Access

Engineering files may include drawings, CAD, STEP/STP, interface data, pinouts, models, specifications and other technical records.

A recorded file, preview or request acknowledgement does not create an automatic download right. File requests remain subject to availability, business identity, project context, compliance review and release conditions.

2. Permitted Use

  • internal engineering evaluation;
  • integration into the customer’s own system;
  • disclosure to a designated contract manufacturer under confidentiality obligations;
  • disclosure to a testing or certification organization;
  • use for the identified project, product or order.

3. Prohibited Use

  • public distribution;
  • resale as a standalone file or document package;
  • upload to public repositories;
  • competitive copying or reverse engineering;
  • removal of copyright, confidentiality or revision markings;
  • modification and redistribution under the EmbodyStack name without written authorization;
  • use for an unapproved restricted application or unlawful export, reexport, transfer or disclosure;
  • representation of a preview, derived model or illustrative file as a released manufacturing drawing.

4. Revision and Verification

Customers must verify file identity, revision, units, tolerances, configuration and applicability before design freeze, tooling, manufacturing or installation.

A browser preview, derived mesh, translated annotation or converted format may omit information and is not a dimensional acceptance document unless expressly released for that purpose.

5. Security and Confidentiality

Recipients must use reasonable safeguards to prevent unauthorized access, copying, alteration or disclosure and must promptly report suspected loss or misuse.

Access may be revoked when a project ends, authorization changes or a compliance, confidentiality or security concern arises.

6. Ownership and Feedback

File ownership and intellectual-property rights remain with the applicable rights holder. No ownership transfer is implied by access or delivery.

Corrections, integration notes or feedback may be used to maintain product documentation, subject to applicable confidentiality obligations.

7. No Automatic Production Approval

Preliminary, evaluation, derived and prototype files are not approved for production unless expressly marked Released for Production.

The customer remains responsible for final integration verification, manufacturing review, configuration control and safe use.
