Prepare before RFQ

Bring sensor types and count, mounting positions, field of view, camera frame rate and resolution, interfaces, bandwidth, host platform, sync requirements and SDK or driver records.

  • A robot sensor stack combines cameras, LiDAR, radar, ToF or depth sensors with different mounting and host interfaces.

Key engineering decisions

Sensor coverage and mounting

Record sensor count, mounting position, field of view, mechanical envelope and alignment references for each sensing role.

Data interface and bandwidth

Separate GMSL2 / FAKRA, Ethernet, USB, CAN and RS485 channels and estimate data rate from frame rate, resolution or point-cloud rate.

Trigger and time context

Capture hardware trigger, sync, PTP or timestamping requirements only when supplied by the customer and relevant to stream alignment.

Host and documentation dependency

Identify host compute, available ports, power rails, SDK, driver and calibration documentation before requesting interface files.

  • Sensor drawings, pin maps, SDK records and calibration references should be tied to a named sensor and host interface.
  • Original STEP/STP, complete drawings and supplier-sensitive interface records may require controlled access review.
  • Documentation release does not validate perception or calibration performance.
