Key engineering decisions

Connector and mating part

Name connector family, keying, orientation, pin count, mating part and strain relief expectation.

Signal and power map

Include trigger / sync, sensor power and drag-chain or moving-joint routing when the harness supports cameras, LiDAR, encoders or host-side sensing interfaces.

Motion exposure

Document bend radius, bend life, drag-chain path, moving joint routing, cable OD and jacket requirements.

Drawing and label package

Prepare pinout table, labels, length tolerance, branch points and environment notes for review.

RFQ preparation checklist

Include these inputs before asking for quote or document review.

  • Connector type and mating part
  • Pinout or wire map
  • Cable length, branch layout and cable OD
  • Shielding and EMI requirement
  • Bend radius, bend life and strain relief
  • Drag-chain, moving-joint or hollow-shaft routing
  • GMSL2 / FAKRA / Ethernet / CAN / RS485, trigger / sync and sensor power
  • Labels, environment and controlled drawing / BOM boundary

Document access depends on file type and review context.

  • Cable drawings and wire maps can be requested with project context.
  • Full harness drawings, internal BOMs and supplier-sensitive records are not automatically released.
